Construction Noise Predictions

As part of the environmental impact assessment process, new developments often require construction noise predictions for comparison with existing baseline noise conditions. British Standard BS 5228 provides guidance on the measurement and prediction of noise from construction sites, the methods of controlling noise, and recommends procedures for establishing effective liaison between developers, site operators & local authorities.

Using in-house software based on BS 5228 procedures or the Atkins Site Noise software, JSP Consultants has conducted demolition & construction noise predictions on numerous development sites around the London Arena (Docklands), Selfridge Centre (Oxford Street), London Stock Exchange, South Kensington Underground Station and Camden Town Underground Station. Other major project involvement/assistance included Cardiff bay Barrage, CTRL, Victoria Station Underground Upgrade, CrossRail and Jubilee Line Extension.
